Job summary

CKSE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Hotel Housekeeping Relief Supervisor cum Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping team in Singapore. The role combines supervisory duties with hands-on cleaning as needed across Room Attendant and Public Area tasks.

The candidate should have prior hotel housekeeping experience, including supervisory exposure, and be willing to perform hands-on cleaning duties when required. Flexibility to rotate across three roles based on daily needs is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform the duties of a Housekeeping Supervisor when needed to cover shortages or leave.
• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to maintain cleanliness and standards.
• Assign and monitor daily room cleaning tasks and manpower deployment.
• Inspect rooms to ensure compliance with housekeeping SOPs and cleanliness standards.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, productivity and performance.
• Coordinate with Front Office and other departments regarding room status.
• Use housekeeping systems to update room status and monitor progress.
• Report issues, maintenance defects and guest complaints promptly.
• Perform Room Attendant duties as required.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of public areas such as lobbies and corridors.
• Replenish supplies and ensure equipment is maintained.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced, responsible and hands-on Hotel Housekeeping Relief Supervisor cum Public Area Attendant to join our housekeeping operations team.

This is a multi-functional position that requires the successful candidate to undertake Housekeeping Supervisor, Room Attendant (RA) and Public Area (PA) Attendant duties, depending on the hotel's daily operational requirements and manpower deployment.

The ideal candidate must have prior hotel housekeeping experience, including supervisory experience, and be willing to perform hands-on cleaning duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Housekeeping Relief Supervisor Duties

• Perform the duties of a Housekeeping Supervisor whenever required to cover manpower shortages, off days, leave or other operational needs.

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure hotel cleanliness and service standards are maintained.

• Assign and monitor daily room cleaning tasks and manpower deployment.

• Conduct room inspections and ensure guest rooms meet hotel housekeeping standards.

• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, productivity and work performance.

• Coordinate with hotel management, Front Office and other relevant departments regarding room status and operational matters.

• Operate hotel housekeeping systems to update room status, monitor cleaning progress and coordinate daily operations.

• Ensure all housekeeping staff comply with hotel SOPs, safety requirements and operational instructions.

• Report housekeeping issues, maintenance defects, guest complaints and operational concerns promptly.

2. Room Attendant (RA) Duties

• Perform guest room cleaning duties whenever required.

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel housekeeping standards.

• Make beds, change linens, replenish amenities and clean bathrooms.

• Ensure rooms are properly cleaned, inspected and ready for guest occupancy.

• Report maintenance defects, lost and found items and room discrepancies.

• Meet daily room cleaning productivity and quality requirements.

3. Public Area (PA) Attendant Duties

• Perform cleaning and maintenance of hotel public areas, including lobbies, corridors, lifts, washrooms and other assigned areas.

• Ensure public areas remain clean, presentable and hygienic throughout the shift.

• Carry out sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and other cleaning duties.

• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests from hotel management.

• Replenish cleaning supplies and maintain housekeeping equipment.

• Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in hotel housekeeping operations.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor role.

• Must possess practical, hands-on experience as a Hotel Room Attendant.

• Must have experience using hotel housekeeping software or room management systems.

• Familiarity with systems such as OPERA, Knowcross or similar hotel housekeeping systems will be advantageous.

• Good understanding of hotel housekeeping SOPs, room inspection procedures and cleanliness standards.

• Able to supervise housekeeping staff and work independently when required.

• Must be willing and physically able to perform hands-on Room Attendant and Public Area cleaning duties.

• Able to multitask and adapt to different operational responsibilities.

• Responsible, punctual, reliable and able to work in a fast-paced hotel environment.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays according to roster.

• Candidates who are available to commence work immediately will be preferred.

Working Hours

6 days work week, based on rotating shifts:

• Morning Shift: 6:45 AM – 3:45 PM

• Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Day Shift: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Shift assignments are subject to hotel operational requirements and manpower needs.

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: $2,000 – $3,000

• Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and suitability.

Important Note to Applicants

This is not a purely supervisory or administrative position.

The successful candidate must be prepared to perform actual housekeeping cleaning duties, including guest room cleaning and public area cleaning, in addition to undertaking supervisory responsibilities whenever required.
