Job summary

Hytech, a leading management consulting firm with a regional presence in Australia and Singapore, is seeking a Junior Accountant to support its APAC accounting team. You will handle day-to-day transactions, assist with month-end close, and help produce basic reports with accuracy and integrity.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting, 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English and Chinese to communicate with stakeholders across APAC.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–3 years' accounting experience with basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English and Chinese for APAC stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions including AP, AR, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing and preparation of schedules.
• Assist in preparing basic financial and management reports.
• Support internal and external audit documentation.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records.
• Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Accounting team. You will handle day-to-day accounting operations of our regional business, and ensure accurate financial records. This role will support month-end closing, reconciliations, and basic reporting activities independently.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills and effectively bilingual in English and Chinese to liaise with English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders across APAC office.
• Demonstrates responsibility and sense of ownership, is detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
