Job summary

SHEIN STAR PTE. LTD. seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities in Singapore. You will support month-end and year-end closings, prepare financial statements, and handle tax filings in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, IFRS/FRS knowledge, and proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero or SAP, plus strong Excel and communication skills. Chinese language capability is a plus for China-related coordination.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in accounting/finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in e-commerce, investment or fund management is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS and FRS.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full-set of accounts for multiple entities with timely month-end and year-end closings.
  • Process journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets schedules and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare GST/VAT, income tax filings and ensure timely submissions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Review expenses for proper approvals per company policy.
  • Assist audits by providing documentation and liaising with banks, legal and secretaries.
  • Maintain organized financial records and participate in ERP system enhancements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join us. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. You will support budgeting, auditing, and the month-end/year-end close processes for multi-entities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Handle full-set of accounts for multiple entities. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes, including (but not limited to) process journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets schedule, and intercompany transactions.
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for entities assigned. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  3. Prepare tax filings (GST/VAT, income tax, etc.) and ensure timely submission.
  4. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  5. Review expenses to ensure payments are properly approved according to the company policies.
  6. Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Liaise with internal and external parties (i.e. banks, legal, and corporate secretaries etc).
  7. Maintain and organize financial records and documentation.
  8. Other duties as assigned including process improvement and optimization project and participate in implementation and enhancement of the ERP system and any other group-wide projects.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 years or above of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in E-commerce platform, investment company, or fund management environments is a big advantage.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting i.e. IFRS & FRS.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills. Good command of Chinese/ Mandarin both written and verbal in order to communicate with finance team in China.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior audit experience with a public accounting firm is an advantage.
  • Experience working with China-related businesses or cross-border operations is advantageous.
