Job summary

SAI GREEN LANDSCAPE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable landscape maintenance supervisor to plan, supervise and monitor horticultural works under NParks contracts.

You will conduct regular site inspections, assess trees, shrubs and turf health, prepare maintenance programmes, supervise planting, pruning, irrigation and weed control, and ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Responsibilities

• Regular site inspections; assess health of trees, palms, shrubs, hedges, groundcovers and turf.
• Prepare maintenance programmes and schedules per NParks requirements.
• Supervise planting, pruning, transplanting, turfing, grass cutting, weeding, mulching, fertilising and watering.
• Identify plant-health problems (nutrient deficiencies, pests, diseases, soil issues, water stress) and recommend treatments.
• Coordinate daily activities with NParks officers, project managers, supervisors, arborists, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend site meetings, joint inspections, handovers and complaint investigations.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection records, photographic reports and material submissions.
• Verify completed work quantities and assist with monthly progress claims.
• Ensure works comply with contract specs, approved methods, risk assessments and safe work procedures.
• Provide on-the-job training to landscape supervisors and workers.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, equipment usage and material consumption.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe management of green waste.
• Support emergency response works for fallen trees or storm-related incidents.

Job description

Plan, supervise and monitor horticultural and landscape-maintenance works under NParks contracts.

Conduct regular site inspections and assess the health and condition of trees, palms, shrubs, hedges, groundcovers and turf.

Prepare maintenance programmes and work schedules according to NParks requirements.

Supervise planting, pruning, transplanting, turfing, grass cutting, weeding, mulching, fertilising and watering works.

Identify plant-health problems, including nutrient deficiencies, pests, diseases, poor soil conditions and water stress.

Recommend and implement suitable treatment, replacement and improvement measures.

Ensure correct plant species, sizes, quantities, planting distances and planting methods are used.

Monitor soil preparation, soil amendments, drainage, irrigation and establishment maintenance.

Inspect completed works and ensure all defects and non‑compliances are promptly rectified.

Coordinate daily activities with NParks officers, project managers, supervisors, arborists, subcontractors and suppliers.

Attend site meetings, joint inspections, handovers and complaint investigations.

Respond promptly to public feedback, urgent requests and instructions from NParks.

Prepare progress reports, inspection records, photographic reports, planting records and material submissions.

Verify completed work quantities and assist with monthly progress claims.

Ensure all works comply with contract specifications, approved method statements, risk assessments and safe work procedures.

Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to landscape supervisors and workers.

Monitor workers’ productivity, workmanship, equipment usage and material consumption.

Ensure proper housekeeping and safe management of green waste.

Support emergency response works involving fallen trees, damaged vegetation or storm‑related incidents.

Carry out other horticultural duties assigned by the Project Manager or NParks.
