Job summary

Metta Hospice Care, part of Metta Welfare Association, is seeking a Palliative Staff Nurse to deliver high-touch, home-based nursing care with a focus on symptom management and end-of-life support. You will work independently in the community, supporting families as a clinical expert and emotional anchor.

The role requires SNB-registered nurses with a Diploma or Degree in Nursing and preferred advanced palliative care qualifications, plus at least 3 years in relevant settings such as home care

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board practising certificate.
• A Diploma or Degree in Nursing is required.
• An Advanced Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Palliative Care or Gerontology is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; Home Care/Community Nursing/Oncology experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home-based nursing assessments for palliative patients.
• Develop and review individualized care plans focused on pain relief and symptom management.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures per physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Train and support caregivers on nursing techniques and bereavement care.
• Act as liaison between patient, family and the multidisciplinary team; coordinate referrals as needed.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and ensure alignment with National Guidelines for Palliative Care and SNB standards.
