Job summary

Digital Realty seeks a hands‑on leader to guide a growing team of Solution Engineers. You will hire and develop talent, drive training, and balance workloads while engaging with Sales and customers to translate complex data‑centre requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

You will interact directly with large clients to assess needs, guide decisions, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver projects on time and within scope. Travel 20–40% required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with a data centre or colocation provider
• 8+ years in engineering consulting or mission‑critical facilities
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions across electrical, cooling, and connectivity
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills for executive audiences
• Experience leading and motivating a technical sales team
• Strong understanding of electrical provisioning, mechanical cooling, and related systems
• Proven project management and document control skills
• Willingness to travel 20%–40% of the time

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sales team in technical sales and solutions.
• Direct prospect engagements, including site tours, calls, proposals, pricing and negotiations.
• Serve as the hub for project communication across stakeholders.
• Design and present preliminary solutions based on customer needs.
• Assist with customer RFPs and cost‑engineering models.
• Act as a subject matter expert on data centre infrastructure.
• Support remote Design and Construction teams during bid, construction and commissioning.
• Forecast, build pipelines and conduct market analysis.
• Engage with industry forums and share insights with Operations and Design teams.
