Job summary

KOVA Performance is seeking a Head of Performance & Business Development to scale coaching quality and grow the business in Singapore. You will blend senior coaching with strategic ownership, driving new partnerships, systems, and standardized curricula while leading and mentoring the coaching team.

The role combines hands-on Personal Training with leadership, process development, and revenue expansion initiatives, all aimed at delivering exceptional client results within a high-performance gym

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of in-person Personal Training and coaching experience.
• Degree in Business or a related field.
• Extensive resistance/weight training and body transformation knowledge.
• Experience leading and mentoring trainers or coaches.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth.
• Build internal systems, processes, and SOPs.
• Write and standardise coaching curricula and programme frameworks.
• Elevate coaching practices across the team.
• Manage, train, and mentor coaches joining the company.
• Uphold coaching standards across client interactions.
• Deliver 1-to-1 Personal Training and small group coaching.
• Design structured training and nutrition programs aligned with goals.

At KOVA Performance, we provide Personal Training and coaching services specialising in body transformation and athletic performance. We pride ourselves on helping our clients get lean, strong, and athletic through structured training and nutrition systems, while teaching them the skills to stay that way.

We are entering an exciting stage of our development and we are looking for a Head of Performance & Business Development to help us take our business to the next level.

Alongside coaching and Personal Training responsibilities, the successful candidate will spearhead this next phase of our journey by identifying new business opportunities, building out systems and processes, and standardising best-in-class coaching practices.

The Role

You will operate at a senior level, combining hands-on coaching with strategic responsibility for the growth and quality of our coaching operation.

You will be responsible for:

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive KOVA's growth, including partnerships, new revenue streams, and expansion
• Building out internal systems, processes, and standard operating procedures
• Writing and standardising coaching curricula and programme frameworks
• Standardising and elevating coaching practices across the team
• Managing, training, and mentoring coaches who join the company
• Upholding and setting KOVA coaching standards across all client interactions
• Delivering 1-to-1 Personal Training sessions in a gym environment, along with some small group coaching
• Designing structured, progressive training and nutrition programs aligned with client goals

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Minimum 8 years of in-person Personal Training and coaching experience
• Degree in Business or a related field
• Extensive experience in resistance/weight training and body transformation methodology
• Experience managing within a fitness environment, including leading and mentoring other trainers or coaches
• Experience writing coaching curricula and training programmes
• Demonstrable experience in business development, systems-building, or operational improvement
• Experience working with clients in the fitness industry in Singapore
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with a diverse range of clients
• High attention to detail and professionalism

Desirable:

• Background in athletic or performance-based training
• Experience using coaching apps and progress tracking tools
• Commercial or business management experience
