Job summary

MTC Consulting Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Head of IT Applications & Implementation to lead regional and global IT application implementations within the freight forwarding and logistics sector. You will drive transformation initiatives and oversee multiple deployment projects.

You will manage a small team (2 Managers and 1 Specialist), collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure system integration of CargoWise and other business applications across warehousing and WMS,

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading regional or global IT application implementation projects.
• Hands-on CargoWise implementation and application management experience.
• Experience in IT applications within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
• Experience in warehousing IT implementation and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead IT teams and manage cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional and global IT application implementation projects across freight forwarding and logistics operations.
• Drive the implementation, integration, and optimization of CargoWise and other business applications.
• Oversee IT application projects covering freight forwarding, warehousing, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into IT solutions.
• Manage end-to-end implementation activities and post‑go-live support.
• Lead a team of 2 Managers and 1 Specialist to ensure project execution.
• Coordinate with regional/global stakeholders, vendors and internal IT teams.

We are seeking an experienced Head of IT Applications & Implementation to drive regional and global IT application implementations within the freight forwarding and logistics industry. The successful candidate will lead application transformation initiatives, oversee implementation projects, and manage a team of IT professionals.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: Up to SGD 18,000 per month (12-month package)

• Transport Allowance: To be confirmed

• Reporting To: Chief Information Officer (CIO)

• Team Management: 2 Managers and 1 Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Lead regional and global IT application implementation projects across freight forwarding and logistics operations.

• Drive the implementation, integration, and optimization of CargoWise and other business applications.

• Oversee IT application projects covering freight forwarding, warehousing, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions.

• Manage end-to-end implementation activities, including project planning, system configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

• Lead and manage a team comprising 2 Managers and 1 Specialist, ensuring effective project execution and operational support.

• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders, vendors, and internal IT teams to ensure successful system integration and implementation.

• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, system performance, and operational efficiency through technology.

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and implementation risks.

• Report directly to the CIO on project progress, application performance, and strategic IT initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Strong experience in regional or global IT application implementation projects.

• Hands-on experience with CargoWise implementation and application management.

• Experience in IT applications within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.

• Experience in warehousing IT implementation and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be an added advantage.

• Proven experience in leading IT teams and managing cross-functional implementation projects.

• Candidates with a shorter notice period or immediate availability will be preferred.
