Job summary

e-talent pte. ltd. seeks a Head of IT to lead IT strategy for Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics in Singapore. You will own the project roadmap, drive end-to-end IT implementations, and push automation, digitalisation, and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and data accuracy.

You will oversee cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and vendor management, collaborating with business units to standardise processes and enhance customer visibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, contract logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes including warehousing, transportation, customer visibility, billing, compliance, and operational workflows.
• Proven experience delivering IT projects that improve productivity, data accuracy, system adoption, cost efficiency, customer visibility, or service reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the IT project roadmap for Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics.
• Lead end-to-end IT projects from requirements gathering through post-implementation review.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation, AI, and process improvement across logistics operations.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of logistics systems such as CargoWise, WMS, Salesforce, customer portals, BI/reporting tools, and integration platforms.
• Work with business teams to improve operational workflows, billing, reporting, customer visibility, data accuracy, and service efficiency.
• Establish project governance, including plans, milestones, risk management, change control, stakeholder communication, and benefits tracking.
• Manage IT vendors, system integrators, and external service providers for quality, cost, and timely delivery.
• Ensure IT initiatives consider cybersecurity, data protection, access control, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Partner with Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Commercial, Finance, HR, Quality, and regional teams to drive system adoption and standardised processes.
• Coach and develop IT team members to strengthen delivery and continuous improvement capabilities.

Work Location: Changi North Way
Working Hours: 8.30am - 6pm (Mon - Fri)
Basic Salary: $15,000 - $18,000 (subject to experience)
Job Scope:

• Develop and manage the IT project roadmap for Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics.
• Lead end-to-end IT projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation, AI, and process improvement across logistics operations.
• Lead the implementation and optimisation of logistics systems such as CargoWise, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Salesforce, customer portals, BI/reporting tools, and integration platforms.
• Work with business teams to improve operational workflows, billing, reporting, customer visibility, data accuracy, and service efficiency.
• Establish effective project governance, including project plans, milestones, risk management, change control, stakeholder communication, and benefits tracking.
• Manage IT vendors, system integrators, and external service providers to ensure project quality, cost control, and timely delivery.

Requirements：

• Experience in freight forwarding, contract logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including warehousing, transportation, customer visibility, billing, compliance, and operational workflows.
• Proven experience delivering IT projects that improve productivity, data accuracy, system adoption, cost efficiency, customer visibility, or service reliability.
• Experience with logistics and business systems such as CargoWise, WMS, Salesforce, BI dashboards, customer portals, integration platforms, or automation tools will be an advantage.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage internal teams and external vendors.
