Job summary

Maybank in Singapore is seeking an experienced governance and risk professional to lead and oversee Community Financial Services (CFS) governance, conduct and risk initiatives. You will partner with Compliance, Risk and senior management to ensure regulatory alignment and strong customer outcomes.

The role emphasizes independent oversight of sales advisory processes, control enhancements and training, with a focus on accountability, fair dealing and proactive risk management across the business.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of risk management and governance practices.
• Experience with governance frameworks, controls assessment and incident handling.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive and embed governance, conduct and risk ownership across CFS.
• Provide independent oversight of sales advisory activities and customer interactions.
• Identify conduct themes and root causes through assurance, incidents and monitoring.
• Recommend practical control enhancements to strengthen governance and risk management.
• Lead and participate in governance initiatives and regulatory reviews.
• Provide reporting and insights to senior management and governance committees.
