Job summary

Maybank Singapore is seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance leader to develop and oversee governance frameworks across CFS and Group Wealth Management (GWM). The role provides independent risk advisory, oversight of controls, and ensures regulatory alignment while supporting efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in capital markets and wealth management, with analytical and stakeholder engagement skills to drive governance discipline across Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets, structured products and derivatives.
• Professional certifications in financial services or risk management advantageous.
• Strong understanding of wealth management and private banking operations and risks.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements across Asia, including MAS Singapore Private Banking Code.
• Strong analytical, logical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to design governance frameworks and control methodologies.
• Meticulous documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple business units.

Responsibilities

• Governance framework development and oversight across CFS and GWM.
• Preventive risk management and control advisory for business units.
• Independent oversight and risk monitoring of KRIs and approvals.
• Controls testing and assurance oversight across CFS and GWM teams.
