Job summary

The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. is seeking an experienced Head Barista to lead beverage R&D, staff training, and quality control across our retail locations.

You will anchor tea bar operations, develop high-quality signature beverages, and uphold service standards in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage training, ensure SOP adherence, and drive excellence on the floor, balancing guest engagement with operational performance across outlets at Ion Orchard, Jewel

Qualifications

• Experience leading beverage operations in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to train staff on tea preparation and service standards.
• Strong knowledge of tea (loose leaf, blends, brewing techniques).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead Beverage R&D and menu innovation across all outlets.
• Drive tea training programs and staff development for full-time and part-time baristas.
• Establish SOPs for beverage prep, service, and workflow efficiency.
• Oversee daily station operations and ensure QSHC compliance across outlets.
• Collaborate with Outlet In-Charges to ensure smooth store operations and shift coverage.
