Job summary

The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. is seeking passionate baristas to join our team at Jewel Changi, IOI Central Boulevard, or ION Orchard.

You will craft our signature tea and coffee beverages, greet and assist customers, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced retail setting. As a barista, you will learn about our offerings, deliver exceptional service, and support daily store operations while maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Service-oriented and energetic with a passion for tea.
• Experience in F&B or retail is a plus, barista experience welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages following SOPs and maintain high quality and presentation.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders, process payments, and upsell products.
• Develop product knowledge of teas and promotions to engage customers and make recommendations.
• Keep the tea bar area clean and well stocked, manage supplies and equipment.
• Work well as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive workplace culture.
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking passionate and service-driven individuals to join our team and help us share our love for tea.As a Barista at The 1872 Clipper Tea Co., you are the face of our brand, responsible for creating a welcoming environment and providing exceptional customer service. You will be a tea enthusiast who can skillfully prepare our signature tea and coffee beverages, educate customers on our products, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage from sandwiches and waffles to signature tea blends and coffee, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide excellent, personalised service. Take and process orders accurately, handle cash and electronic payments, and proactively promote and upsell products to meet store targets.

• Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's tea products, brewing methods, and promotions to effectively engage with customers, answer their questions, and make recommendations.

• Store Operations & Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including the tea bar counter, equipment, and customer-facing areas. Restock and replenish products and supplies regularly.

• Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive and dynamic workplace culture.

• Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• A service-driven, outgoing, and positive attitude with a passion or appreciation for tea

• Must be able to communicate in English

• Prior experience in a food and beverage (F&B) or retail setting is preferred. Barista or bubble tea experience is a plus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
