Job summary

Capella Hotel Singapore seeks a Housekeeping Coordinator to oversee the Housekeeping Office, ensuring smooth administration, effective communication, and accurate records. You will serve as the central point of contact for internal housekeeping communications and support the operations team in delivering exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping with administrative and secretarial duties.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and distribute daily room assignments to Room Attendants and Housekeeping Runners for each shift.
• Coordinate daily room status, including arrivals, departures, stayovers, back-to-back rooms, and priority cleaning.
• Monitor VIP arrivals, in-house VIP rooms, and special guest requests, ensuring timely communication with Supervisors and Room Attendants.
• Manage daily traces by assigning them to the appropriate team members and ensuring timely completion and closure.
• Monitor rooms displaying Do Not Disturb signs and follow hotel procedures.
• Operate and maintain housekeeping systems including Opera Cloud & Knowcross.
• Raise glitches when required.
• Serve as the primary contact point for all internal telephone calls to the Housekeeping Office.
• Record, relay, and follow up on all guest and departmental requests promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate and communicate work orders with the Engineering Department and other relevant departments.
• Safeguard, issue, collect, and maintain accurate records of all housekeeping keys and PTTs.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness and readiness for arrival guests in accordance with organisational standards.
