Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Compliance Officer for Growth Programs (Japanese speaking) to lead cross-functional programs enabling new products, markets, and network initiatives while ensuring compliant launches. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Risk to design scalable operating models and documentation, with strong emphasis on automation and process improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in technical program management or product operations within payments/fintech, fluent English

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical program management, product operations, payments, fintech, risk, compliance, or similar cross-functional roles.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.
• Experience launching or improving systems, workflows or controls with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional programs enabling new products, markets, payment methods and network programs to launch compliantly and at scale.
• Drive end-to-end execution from problem definition through launch, monitoring and optimization.
• Define business requirements, operational models, control needs, and system enhancements with Product and Engineering.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, Risk and regional stakeholders on launch readiness and ownership.
• Develop program plans, milestones, governance routines, and decision logs.
• Escalate blockers and risks with clear recommendations for decision-making.
• Build repeatable frameworks for evaluating merchant use cases outside existing mandates.
• Coordinate testing, readiness, launch and post-launch reviews for globally impactful initiatives.
• Create documentation and training materials to improve team efficiency and clarity.
