Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Compliance Officer for Growth Programs in Singapore/Tokyo to drive cross-functional programs enabling new products, markets, and partnerships while maintaining rigorous controls. Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical program management, product operations, payments, fintech, risk, or cross-functional roles.
• Strong understanding of payments infrastructure, payment methods, network rules, or merchant payment flows.
• Experience working with Product and Engineering to launch or improve systems, workflows, or controls.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with competing priorities and dependencies.
• Excellent organizational skills with a structured approach to planning, execution, risk management, and follow-through.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear recommendations.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and making progress without full information.
• Ability to influence and drive alignment across teams without direct authority.
• A bias toward scalable solutions, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Experience supporting launches or changes that involve compliance, product, legal, or partner considerations is a plus.
• Exposure to merchant onboarding, payment methods, scheme rules, or financial partner programs is a plus.
• Ability to think both strategically and operationally, balancing business goals with control requirements.
• Fluency in English and Japanese.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional programs that enable new products, markets, payment methods, partner integrations, and network programs to launch compliantly and at scale.
• Drive end-to-end execution for growth initiatives, from problem definition and requirements gathering through launch, monitoring, and post-launch optimization.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define business requirements, operational models, control needs, and system enhancements.
• Work with Commercial, Partnerships, Legal, Risk, and regional stakeholders to align on launch readiness and dependencies.
• Identify gaps between business ambition and network requirements, and design pragmatic solutions that unlock growth.
• Develop and maintain program plans, decision logs, milestones, and governance routines for strategic initiatives.
• Escalate blockers, risks, and unresolved issues with clear recommendations and options for decision-making.
• Support the design of repeatable frameworks for evaluating merchant use cases.
• Coordinate testing, readiness, launch, and post-launch reviews for complex initiatives with global impact.
• Build documentation, training materials, and playbooks to improve team efficiency.
• Track metrics and outcomes to ensure programs deliver business value and meet control expectations.
