Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Group Accountant to lead end-to-end accounting operations, consolidation, and financial reporting across multiple group entities in Singapore. You will oversee external accounting firms, ensure timely closes, and provide analysis for senior management.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, IA or Big 4 background preferred, strong IFRS/SFRS knowledge, and hands-on consolidation experience using Dynamics 365.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, with audit background preferred (Big 4 or mid-tier).
• Solid financial statement preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS / IFRS and multi-entity regional reporting.
• Ability to review and control accounting processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review the preparation of full sets of accounts for assigned Group companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing.
• Review balance sheets, P&L, ledgers, journals, reconciliations and schedules prepared by Accounts Executives.
• Review accruals, prepayments, depreciation, FX adjustments, intercompany transactions and other closing entries.
• Investigate variances and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Ensure transactions are properly classified and recorded per standards and policies.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms for accounting and reporting.
• Establish and monitor reporting timelines for closing and reporting.
• Review financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations, schedules and deliverables by external firms.
• Ensure outsourced records align with group policies and reporting requirements.
• Follow up on outstanding information and adjustments to close accounts timely.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation and provide explanations for movements.
• Review intercompany reconciliations, eliminations and currency translations.
• Ensure consolidated information is accurate and submitted on time.
• Prepare and review financial reports and analysis for senior management.
• Draft financial statements and disclosures for statutory audit.
• Support annual statutory audit and respond to audit queries.
• Coordinate tax computations, returns and compliance timelines.
• Identify tax exposures and escalation points to leadership.
• Lead budgeting and performance reporting, consolidating divisional inputs.
• Oversee internal controls and governance within accounting operations.
• Administer and optimize group accounting systems interfaces (e.g., Dynamics 365).
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements across accounting functions.
