Job summary

SPH Media Limited in Singapore seeks an experienced Business Development cum Project Manager to drive growth in the Greater China market. You will identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships and lead cross-functional initiatives across paid content, advertising, sponsorships and events.

The role requires a strong network in Greater China and Southeast Asia, plus ability to manage strategic projects from conception to execution while collaborating with Editorial, Marketing, Sales,

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Social Sciences, or related discipline with a quantitative focus.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or project management.
• Proven track record identifying opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements and delivering growth.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen with analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities, engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel within Singapore, China and regional markets.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and pursue new opportunities and partnerships to grow revenue in the Greater China market.
• Serve as primary contact for partners, advertisers and stakeholders, overseeing sponsorships and collaborations.
• Build relationships with decision-makers across first-tier China cities and key markets.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to spot trends and needs.
• Develop business proposals, negotiate agreements and manage contract discussions.
• Represent SPH Media Limited at industry events to raise brand visibility and opportunities.
• Lead and manage strategic projects from planning through execution within scope and budget.
• Work with Editorial, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Legal and Operations to align implementations.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones and metrics, mitigating risks.
• Provide progress updates and recommendations to senior management.
• Drive process improvements for delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
• Act as liaison between internal teams and external partners throughout the lifecycle.
