TikTok is seeking a PhD-level AI Agent Algorithm Engineer Graduate to join our Global E‑Commerce Conversational AI team in Singapore. You will own a complete end-to-end agent surface from day one, shipping production-ready systems across 30+ languages.

Qualifications

PhD in CS / AI / Math or a quantitative field.
Strong Python plus one of C++ / Go / Rust / Java.
Solid ML / DL / NLP fundamentals with hands‑on experience with LLMs or agents.
Able to read a paper or engineering blog and turn it into working code

Responsibilities

Build and evolve the agent runtime powering our customer-service agents across languages.
Engineer context & memory for long multi-turn agents — memory, context management, and retrieval.
Post-train and fine-tune LLMs and build data flywheel signals from conversations.
Design and integrate tools, Skills, and MCP connectors (tools-as-APIs) and tool search.
Build evaluation — LLM-as-judge, with calibration, safety, cost and latency awareness.
Create a self-evolving loop with replay, user-simulator and Auto-RCA/Auto-GSB/Auto-Policy.
Own a high-leverage end-to-end surface and ship to production across 30+ languages with CSAT metrics.
