Job summary

TikTok is hiring an AI Agent Algorithm Engineer Graduate for a 2027 start, joining the Global E-Commerce team to advance a self-evolving agent system that supports 30+ languages. You will own end-to-end work from day one, shipping to production and helping define guardrails, memory, and retrieval strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/AI/Math or a quantitative field.
• Strong Python plus one of C++/Go/Rust/Java.
• Solid ML/DL/NLP fundamentals with hands-on experience with LLMs or agents.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the agent runtime powering customer-service agents; orchestrate skills, tools, and context; implement loop control & intervention.
• Engineer context & memory for long multi-turn agents; memory and context management; retrieval-based loading.
• Post-train and fine-tune LLMs (SFT/DPO/RLHF) and build data flywheel turning conversations into training signals.
• Design and integrate tools, skills, and MCP connectors; enable tool search for large inventories.
• Build evaluation as LLM-as-judge with calibration; ensure safety, cost, latency awareness.
