Job summary

canaan creative global pte. ltd. in Singapore seeks a seasoned Government Affairs professional to drive public policy initiatives and strengthen relations with government agencies and industry associations across APAC.

You will craft strategic guidance, manage regulatory responses, and represent the company in high‑level engagements. The role requires a track record in external communications, stakeholder management, and policy advocacy, with the ability to coordinate cross‑geography campaigns

Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies in support of the business priorities and public policy agenda.
• Key point of contact with government officials, industry stakeholders, trade associations, in Singapore and proactively identifies opportunities to deepen relationships with key government stakeholders across the APAC region.
• Provide clear advice on regulatory developments and policy issues related to business interests in Singapore and APAC region
• Experience in collaborating with government officials, responding to regulatory enquiries, writing briefings, preparing and delivering presentations to regulators, government officials and industry associations.
• Build and manage relationships with relevant media stakeholders in Singapore, and support Global Head in managing media relationships across global priority markets
• Represent the company in external meetings with the media and private/public sector communication partners.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations or related fields.
• At least 5 years of working experience in a government affairs program/ corporate communications or public relations (other relevant disciplines can be considered).
• Strong track record in developing and implementing external communication strategies/campaigns across multiple geographies.
• Strong research, analysis, writing and presentation skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Consultative approach, outcome focused and data driven.
• Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
