Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including research collaborations, technology licensing, funding arrangements and strategic partnerships.
• Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters, ensuring management of legal risks and contractual obligations.
• Support complex transactions, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, investments and commercialisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to structure and execute agreements.
• Contribute to development of legal policies, governance frameworks and regulatory initiatives.

Job description

An exciting opportunity for Singapore-qualified lawyers to work on complex commercial transactions, technology-related matters and strategic collaborations.

Join a dynamic legal team supporting a diverse range of research, innovation and commercial initiatives. You will partner with business stakeholders, researchers and external organizations to provide practical legal advice, manage risks and facilitate business objectives.

Up to $10,000 per month!

Contract Period: 3 months

Working Hours: Mon-Thu: 8.30am-6pm, Fri: 8.30am-5.30pm

Location: West Region

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements , including research collaborations, technology licensing, funding arrangements and strategic partnerships.
• Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial matters , ensuring appropriate management of legal risks and contractual obligations.
• Support complex transactions , including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, investments and commercialisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners across different industries and institutions to structure and execute agreements.
• Contribute to the development of legal policies, governance frameworks and regulatory initiatives .

Requirements:

• LLB (Honours) degree and admission to the Singapore Bar
• Approximately 3-5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate and commercial law, including contract drafting and negotiations, gained in private practice or an in-house legal role.
• Experience in intellectual property, technology licensing, M&A or joint ventures will be an advantage.
• Exposure to the public sector, healthcare institutions, universities or technology-related environments is preferred but not essential.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage projects independently and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
