Job summary

Toku Ltd. is seeking a Backend Software Engineer focused on Go and AWS to build and evolve our cloud communication platform. You will design and maintain backend APIs, contribute to telephony-related features, and help modernize services toward event-driven architectures.

You’ll work with Kafka and AWS SQS, implement reliability improvements, and own production systems from development through on-call incident response. This role is based in Singapore and involves on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Background in building backend services and APIs for cloud platforms.
• Experience with telephony-related backend features and messaging services recommended.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures and Kafka/AWS SQS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve backend services and APIs powering the communications platform.
• Develop and support telephony-related backend modules including call flows and IVR logic.
• Investigate issues, fix defects, and incrementally improve system reliability and stability.
