Job summary

Toku Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on backend engineer to power our communications platform in a Go-centric environment. You will build and evolve backend APIs, optimize telephony features, and contribute to modernisation efforts with event-driven architectures.

You'll work with AWS-backed services, Kafka, and MySQL, taking ownership of production reliability and participating in an on-call rotation. This is a role for those who enjoy solving complex distributed systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience in Go.
• Experience building and maintaining backend APIs.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS) and event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve backend services and APIs powering the communications platform.
• Develop and support telephony-related backend modules (call flows, IVR, messaging).
• Investigate issues and incrementally improve service reliability and stability.
