Job summary

Toku Ltd. in Singapore is building out a growing QA function. This role focuses on shaping testing processes, designing test plans, and leading automation efforts in a collaborative startup setting.

You will review specs, create robust test cases, and coordinate testing activities across teams while leveraging AWS for environments and monitoring. Strong English and a quality mindset are essential as the team scales.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related subject.
• 3–7 years of work experience in software quality assurance.
• QA methodologies, Agile or Waterfall experience.
• Knowledge in writing SQL queries and/or scripting languages.
• Experience in manual testing and test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG.
• Working knowledge of AWS technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with AWS Device Farm or AWS CodeBuild.
• Solid understanding of web technologies and APIs.
• Clear, concise written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related subject.

Responsibilities

• Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities.
• Utilise AWS technologies for test environment setup, monitoring, and reporting.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Identify and document bugs in the testing phase.
• Conduct regression, integration and performance testing after bugs are resolved.
• Identify and document software defects, track issues, and verify fixes with the dev team.
• Collaborate with customer support to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues using AWS monitoring tools.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and strategies; contribute to QA growth.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to our Lead QA Engineer. You will be

• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
• Utilising AWS technologies for test environment setup, monitoring, and reporting.
• Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Identifying and documenting bugs in the testing phase.
• Conducting regression, integration and performance testing after bugs are resolved.
• Identifying and documenting software defects, tracking issues, and working with the development team to verify fixes.
• Collaborating with customer support teams to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues. leveraging AWS monitoring tools for proactive issue detection.
• Staying up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Actively participating in knowledge sharing and contributing to the growth and development of the QA team.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• At least 3 – 7years of work experience in software software quality assurance, preferably in CcaaS, CPaaS, or Voice related domains.
• Good experience with QA methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall or others.
• Knowledge in writing SQL queries and / or other scripting languages.
• Experience in manual testing, and proficiency in industry leading test automation tools such as Selenium, Junit, Test NG or others.
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch or others preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS services for testing, such as AWS Device Farm or AWS CodeBuild or others preferred.
• Solid understanding of web technologies and APIs.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Has excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and oral communication abilities in English (additional Asian languages would be a great bonus, for liaising with cross regional teams and partners).
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Continuous learning mindset, staying up-to-date with the latest QA trends and technologies.
