Job summary

Systematica Group in Singapore is seeking a Trading Platform Support Engineer to join the Technology Operations team. The role focuses on keeping the proprietary trading platform running smoothly with 24x6 coverage and close collaboration with EU/US teams.

You will monitor the platform, troubleshoot time-sensitive incidents, contribute to release planning, automation, and handover to other regions as the day ends, working with traders, researchers, developers and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years work experience in trading technology or similarly complex environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
• Proficient in Shell and Python.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Solid understanding of MS SQL Server and proficiency in T-SQL.
• Experience with source control systems Git and SVN.
• Experience with Build/CI tools like TeamCity.
• Knowledge of Docker, Nomad and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Hands-on production deployment and release management experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, support and monitoring of the proprietary trading platform throughout the trading day.
• Troubleshooting time-sensitive production incidents with priority to trading.
• Provide updates on releases and incidents to the trading team.
• Collaborate with Europe and America to enable follow-the-sun support.
• Work with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, developers and operations to reduce production risk.
• Coordinate with data vendors and brokers for system updates.
• User acceptance testing and release planning for production changes.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting scenarios.
• Automate routine tasks and scripts.
