Job summary

MCI Consulting Pte Ltd in Woodlands, Singapore, is seeking an experienced Shipping Assistant to manage end-to-end shipment preparation, freight coordination and customs clearance.

The role covers documentation management, freight liaison, warehousing coordination, order administration, and cost tracking. Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with a salary range of SGD 2,800–3,500 and AWS plus performance and variable bonuses.

Qualifications

• Understanding of customs procedures and Incoterms.

Responsibilities

• Documentation Management: Manage key shipment documents (invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading) for seamless customs clearance.
• Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with the warehouse for import/export shipment prep (cargo pickup, shipping marks).
• Freight Coordination: Liaise with freight forwarders to secure cargo space and finalize shipment arrangements.
• Issue Resolution: Resolve discrepancies, issues, or delays during shipping.
• Order Administration: Handle order modifications, cancellations, and manage returns/exchanges.
• Tracking & Optimization: Monitor shipment statuses and provide freight cost estimations to sales; track shipping costs for cost-saving measures.
• Supplier Liaison: Maintain communication with Chinese suppliers.
