Job summary

Tencent in Singapore is seeking a qualified common law lawyer to provide data and privacy-related legal advice across its global businesses. The candidate should have a proven record in international data privacy compliance and be well-versed in legal documentation processes.

With a focus on compliance with global privacy laws, the ideal applicant will manage relationships with outside legal counsel and ensure adherence to regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) are essential for interaction with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years PQE, including law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Strong interest in privacy issues related to international business.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Provide data and privacy-related legal advice to Tencent’s global businesses.
• Advise on compliance with global privacy laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and administer legal documents.
