Job summary

NetEase Games is hiring a mid-level Privacy Legal Counsel to manage global privacy compliance, support privacy-by-design initiatives, and oversee cybersecurity and emerging AI regulation matters.

Qualified lawyers in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and/or Canada with 4–8 years of privacy-focused practice are preferred; fluency in English and Mandarin is required. Preferred locations: Hong Kong or Singapore.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in the US, HK, Singapore, UK or Canada with 4–8 years of practice in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and emerging tech.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese; experience in law firms and in-house settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update global privacy policies, notices and internal frameworks
• Provide legal guidance on cross-border data transfers, localization and conduct DPAs
• Draft, negotiate and review DPAs and privacy provisions in commercial agreements
• Investigate data/cybersecurity incidents and manage regulatory notifications
• Design and deliver privacy and AI awareness training across global offices
• Track emerging privacy and AI laws and update frameworks
• Coordinate with outside counsel across jurisdictions
