Taylor Root is seeking an experienced Privacy Counsel to support global privacy and data protection initiatives for a leading digital platform in Singapore. The role collaborates with product, engineering, security, and marketing teams to implement privacy-by-design across products and services.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of PQE in privacy and data protection, with strong regulatory knowledge (GDPR, APAC) and proven drafting skills for DPAs and vendor contracts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in privacy or data protection.
• Experience in technology sector and multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, APAC privacy laws.
• Excellent drafting and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Advise on global privacy and data protection laws, including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PDPA, and other international privacy frameworks.
• Support privacy compliance across products, platforms, marketing activities, and data-driven initiatives.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and provide practical risk-based recommendations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate privacy-related contractual provisions, including data processing agreements and vendor contracts.
• Partner with business and technology teams to embed privacy-by-design principles into products and services.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries, investigations, and data subject rights requests.
• Monitor emerging privacy regulations and communicate legal developments to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver privacy training and internal compliance guidance.
• Support third-party risk management, cross-border data transfer assessments, and incident response activities.
