Job summary

Standard Chartered PLC is seeking a Head of Payments Platform to lead and scale our core payment engines across Singapore and India. You will drive architectural modernization, reliability engineering and global delivery for high-availability payment processing across multiple markets.

The role requires deep experience in distributed systems, platform governance and leadership of large engineering teams within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in financial services with deep expertise in software engineering, distributed systems, and low-latency transaction processing.
• Experience leading engineering organizations of ~80+ headcount in a global bank or high-scale fintech.
• Mastery of high-throughput payment gateways, clearing engines, and ledger integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, platform operations and service resilience for the Payments Platform estate.
• Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for core payment execution capabilities.
• Ensure platform performance, latency, availability and regulatory risk controls across key corridors.
