SMBC Group is seeking a senior technology leader to shape the target-state architecture and technology strategy for its core banking and payments transformation in Asia Pacific.

You will champion modernisation of legacy systems into modular, API-led microservices, ensure high availability and resilience, and govern engineering standards across multiple jurisdictions. A strong background in enterprise architecture within banking and proven leadership are essential.

Formación

• 15+ years in enterprise technology, software engineering, and architecture in banking/financial services.
• Hands-on expertise modernising legacy core banking engines and real-time payments infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of API-led architecture, microservices, containers, and event-driven design.
• Proven track record delivering large, multi-country core banking transformations.
• Experience with architecture governance, security baselines, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent executive presence and stakeholder management across global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Define end-to-end target-state architecture and platform strategy for core banking and payments.
• Drive modernisation of legacy platforms into modular, API-led microservices with high availability.
• Establish architecture governance, ARBs, and design authorities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee lifecycle from design through testing, cutover, and successful deployment.
• Manage budgets, vendor engagements, and multi-location delivery across regions.
• Lead and mentor large technology teams, fostering automation and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and cybersecurity for regulatory alignment.
