Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our customer-facing team. You will install, service and repair Lam etch / clean / deposition equipment at customer sites, perform preventive maintenance and participate in start-ups and relocations.

You will travel domestically and internationally, work a 24/7 standby roster when needed, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime while delivering high quality service and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Self-starter who can work independently and learn quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to engage customers on technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or relocate equipment at customers’ sites with start-up and checkout activities.
• Provide on-site preventive maintenance and warranty/paid service for Lam equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions; replace defective parts as needed.
• Implement ECOs and field modifications per Engineering changes.
• Maintain service records and logs; complete diagnostic updates.
• Represent Lam professionally and manage customer relationships during service contracts.
