Job summary

VFI Food Pte Ltd. is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to expand its export business and strengthen its presence in overseas markets. The role focuses on developing new international markets, building customer relationships, driving export sales and identifying growth opportunities.

Frequent overseas travel, including assignments of at least two weeks, is required. Bonus points for candidates with a culinary background or knowledge of food products.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Food Science, Culinary Arts or a related discipline.
• Experience in export sales, international business development or related commercial roles.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management and market research skills.
• Willingness to undertake frequent overseas travel (two weeks per trip).
• Experience in FMCG or food industry is an advantage.
• Culinary background or knowledge of food products is a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities

• Overseas market expansion and establishing new distributors and customers.
• Drive export sales, visit customers, negotiate and present products.
• Coordinate with internal teams for product availability, documentation and delivery.
• Represent the company at international exhibitions and events.
• Monitor market developments and provide recommendations to Management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
