Qualifications

• Self-motivated team player with good communication and writing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and implementation in large scale Internet Peering networks.
• Familiarity with mainstream commercial switch/router chipsets.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and optimize ByteDance's global Internet Edge networks.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive the innovation and evolution of ByteDance's network.
• Collaborate with external vendors and ISPs for device and carrier selection.

Skills

Network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS)

Network monitoring protocols and tools (SNMP, Sflow/netflow, Telemetry)

Data center network architecture knowledge

Hands-on experience with network devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper)

Network automation skills (Python, Linux scripting)

Education

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience
