Job summary
Ambition Singapore is seeking a Principal Consultant in Engineering & Manufacturing to design and implement electrical and automation solutions for industrial equipment. You will lead PLC programming, motion control, and system integration from design through commissioning, ensuring machines run efficiently and reliably.
The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with suppliers, and international travel for training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Control, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in electrical design.
- Strong knowledge of servo control, stepper motor control, and robotic motion control.
- Proficient in PLC programming and hardware with independent development and design capabilities.
- Experience selecting and applying motors, sensors, and other automation components.
- Willingness to travel internationally for training.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems and select components.
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.
- Assemble, test, and debug electromechanical systems.
- Design electrical schematics and control cabinet drawings.
- Support installation, commissioning, and documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers on technical specs and solutions.
