Job summary
TALENT FIRST PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled automation engineer in Singapore to design, program, and commission PLC and HMI systems for state-of-the-art automated machinery. You will translate requirements into robust control solutions.
The role covers schematic design, BOM preparation, testing, and on-site and remote support, with opportunities for overseas travel. Collaboration with engineering and operations teams is essential to meet project milestones and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation or semiconductor equipment.
- Proficient in PLC programming using Ladder Logic, Function Block or Structured Text.
- Experience with Mitsubishi or Omron PLC and HMI programming is preferred.
- Able to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.
- Knowledge of motion control, PID and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP) is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems for automated machinery.
- Design electrical control circuits and prepare schematic drawings.
- Select electrical components and prepare BOM.
- Perform software testing, debugging, system integration and commissioning.
- Prepare technical documentation and functional design specifications.
- Coordinate with internal teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support when required.
