Job summary
TALENT TRADER GROUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer to develop and program PLC systems for new automation machines. You will perform I/O checks, debugging, and commissioning, and integrate motion control, sensors, and robots on customer sites.
The role requires hands-on PLC programming experience, strong knowledge of motion control and robotics interfaces, and the ability to work independently to commission systems. Proficiency with major PLC platforms is essential.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or related field.
- 3–4 years of hands-on PLC programming experience in developing new automation machines or equipment.
- Strong practical experience in motion control, industrial sensors and robotics integration.
- Able to independently develop, troubleshoot and commission automation systems.
- Proficient in Inovance, Omron, Mitsubishi or other major PLC platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program PLC systems for new automation machines.
- Perform I/O checks, debugging, testing and machine commissioning.
- Integrate motion control systems, industrial sensors and robots.
- Develop and modify HMI programs and PLC-robot communication interfaces.
- Interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot control system issues.
- Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
- Prepare technical documentation and provide customer training.
