Job summary

Illumina, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician for our Singapore-based clinical genomics laboratory. This hands-on role performs DNA extraction, quantification, library prep, and sequencing using the NovaSeq X Plus platform, in a regulated ISO 15189 environment.

The position requires molecular biology lab experience and familiarity with automated workflows and biosafety practices. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver accurate genomic results for patients

Qualifications

• Molecular biology laboratory experience required.
• Working knowledge of next-generation sequencing principles.
• Experience in a regulated clinical or diagnostic lab environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain data integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform routine laboratory testing to define quality standards and turnaround times.
• Handle, process, and store clinical samples with accurate labeling and traceability.
• Accurately record activities, results, and observations in records and electronic systems.
• Operate laboratory instruments and perform routine maintenance per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant lab environment.
• Contribute to training, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
