Job summary

temper. Wine Room & Lounge in Singapore is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, guest experience, and team performance within the Ebb & Flow Group's multi-concept portfolio.

You will balance a precise wine and beverage programme with warm hospitality, drive financial performance, and uphold brand standards across front-of-house and bar teams. Flexibility for late nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in Restaurant/General Manager level within F&B or hospitality.
• Strong wine and beverage knowledge; WSET certification an advantage.
• Proven P&L management, cost control, and team leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage diverse front-of-house and bar teams.
• Familiarity with SFA regulations and liquor licensing in Singapore.
• Proficiency with POS systems, inventory and scheduling software.
• Willingness to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

About the Role

temper. Wine Room & Lounge is seeking an experienced and hands‑on General Manager to lead the outlet's day-to-day operations, guest experience, and team performance. As part of Ebb & Flow Group's growing multi-concept F&B portfolio, this role calls for someone who can balance the precision of a well-curated wine and beverage programme with the warmth and energy of a great hospitality floor. You will be the driving force behind temper.'s operational excellence, financial performance, and reputation as a destination wine room and lounge.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full outlet operations, including front-of-house service, back-of-house coordination, and overall guest experience, ensuring consistency with temper.'s brand standards.
• Own the outlet's P&L, including revenue targets, cost control (COGS, labour, overheads), budgeting, and monthly performance reporting to senior management.
• Lead, train, and develop the service and bar team, including rostering, performance management, and succession planning.
• Partner with the beverage/wine team to curate and maintain an engaging wine list and beverage programme, and ensure staff are well‑trained in wine knowledge and service standards.
• Drive guest satisfaction through proactive floor management, guest relations, and resolution of service issues.
• Ensure full compliance with SFA food safety requirements, liquor licensing conditions, and other regulatory obligations.
• Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships for beverage and F&B supplies.
• Plan and execute events, private bookings, and promotional initiatives to drive footfall and revenue.
• Work closely with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning for the outlet.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other concept GMs across the Ebb & Flow Group portfolio on cross‑outlet initiatives and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager role within F&B, hospitality, or a bar/wine-focused establishment.
• Strong working knowledge of wine and beverage service; WSET certification (or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Proven track record in P&L management, cost control, and team leadership in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and guest-relations skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage a diverse front-of-house and bar team.
• Familiarity with SFA regulations and liquor licensing requirements in Singapore.
• Proficient in POS systems, inventory management, and basic office/scheduling software.
• Flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays as required by outlet operations.
