ByteDance is seeking a Product Policy Manager for GenAI Safety and Emerging Products within Trust & Safety. You will bridge policy and engineering to enable innovation while protecting users.

You will shape safety-by-design solutions, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, and Public Policy teams to launch safe, compliant AI features. This role requires clear communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in the technology industry, with policy development, program management, trust and safety, compliance, and/or risk assessment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in artificial intelligence, public policy, politics, law, economics, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
• Strong analytical reasoning, execution, and project management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and balance trade-offs.
• Deep understanding of policy and safety issues impacting AI and emerging technologies.
• Excellent oral and written communication, with ability to translate complex challenges for cross-functional partners.
• Adaptability and sound judgment to evolve approach with new information and market developments.

Mansioni

• Develop, review, and refine product-specific policies for GenAI and emerging products.
• Conduct pre-launch and post-launch risk assessments, identify harms, and design mitigations with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor user interactions, enforcement trends, abuse patterns, and emerging tech to inform policy.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Research, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, and PR to evaluate proposals.
• Track global regulatory developments and industry trends to evolve policy frameworks.
• Champion user safety and trust by promoting transparency and responsible product development.
• Prepare and present policy recommendations and risk analyses to stakeholders at multiple levels.
