Job summary

Shimadzu Asia Pacific is seeking an Application Specialist (GC & GCMS) to provide technical and application support across the pre-sales and post-sales journey. You will work with customers, distributors, and internal teams to deliver analytical solutions and drive regional growth.

The role requires hands-on GC/GCMS experience, a chemistry degree, English fluency, and willingness to travel across Southeast Asia and South Asia for demonstrations, training, and development activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in chemistry or related field; Bachelor's considered for experienced candidates.
• Minimum two years of hands-on GC and/or GCMS experience.
• Fluency in English with strong written and verbal skills.
• Strong presentation skills for technical discussions with customers and distributors.
• Willingness to travel regionally across Southeast Asia and South Asia.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales application support, including sample analysis, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
• Lead development projects and prepare application notes and documentation.
• Train customers and distributors; develop training materials.
• Collaborate with sales, service, product, and marketing to meet customer needs.
• Support regional activities with demonstrations, troubleshooting, and application development.
