Job summary

Tang Contemporary Art in Singapore is seeking a part-time on-site Gallerist to welcome visitors, share exhibition and artist information, and maintain a professional gallery atmosphere aligned with the gallery’s standards.

You will support day-to-day operations, assist with installation and de-installation, manage basic cataloging and artwork documentation, and help coordinate events and sales inquiries with collectors and partners.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of contemporary art and ability to communicate clearly with visitors, artists, and collectors.
Experience in gallery operations or arts administration, including front-of-house duties.
Organizational and administrative skills to manage documentation, schedules, and events.
Customer service and sales support, handling inquiries and information about works.
Proficiency in English; additional Asian languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Welcome visitors and provide exhibition and artist information.
Assist with installation/de-installation and maintain space presentation.
Coordinate artwork documentation, inventory, and basic cataloging.
Support sales inquiries, prepare price lists, liaise with collectors and partners.
Assist with events such as openings, talks, and private viewings.
