Job summary

NATWEST MARKETS PLC seeks a Production Specialist – Digital FX to support front-office trading platforms and lead automation initiatives. You will collaborate with Trading and Sales teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and observability in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes incident management, cloud transformation, and hands-on SRE work, with required office presence three days a week and strong communication with stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years hands-on experience supporting front-office trading platforms.
• 5+ years working with Trading and Sales on a trading floor.
• Proven experience supporting client-facing FX electronic trading platforms.
• Strong understanding of low-latency trading environments.
• Expertise in Python, Java and SQL development and scripting.
• Experience across Unix/Linux and Windows environments for troubleshooting.
• Experience with observability/monitoring tools (Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Geneos, Corvil).
• Exposure to cloud technologies and AI capabilities.
• Good knowledge of FX and Fixed Income markets and workflows.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for Digital FX and eTrading platforms
• Manage incidents and production issues with emphasis on stability and performance
• Support platform releases, upgrades and change initiatives
• Drive automation, observability, and toil reduction as an SRE
• Collaborate with engineering teams on cloud adoption and AI initiatives
• Monitor health before market opens and enable early issue resolution
• Support weekend activities when required and work from the office at least three days
