Job summary

Forte Employment Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial furnaces in a Tuas-based facility. The role requires reading electrical drawings and basic PLC skills, with a focus on reliable furnace operation.

The candidate should have NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics and 2–3 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing equipment. OT availability is required.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Preferably 2–3 years of experience in industrial furnace or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, temperature controllers, vacuum systems, and basic PLC systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial furnaces, including debinding and sintering furnaces.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, heating, vacuum, and gas control system issues.
• Monitor furnace performance and ensure stable operation, including temperature, pressure, and process parameters.
• Inspect and maintain furnace components such as heating elements, thermocouples, vacuum pumps, valves, sensors, and cooling systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment checklists, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with workplace safety procedures and company requirements.

Working Hours : 8.30am to 5.30pm /5days

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial furnaces, including debinding and sintering furnaces.


2. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, heating, vacuum, and gas control system issues.


3. Monitor furnace performance and ensure stable operation, including temperature, pressure, and process parameters.


4. Inspect and maintain furnace components such as heating elements, thermocouples, vacuum pumps, valves, sensors, and cooling systems.
