Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore (Tuas) is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) on a non-shift schedule to support chemical plant operations. You will perform welding, cutting, and steel fabrication, and you will maintain and repair plant mechanical systems including pumps, compressors, conveyors, and valves.

The ideal candidate holds a Nitec certificate or equivalent with 3–5 years of industrial experience, is a reliable team player, can trouble shoot, and adheres to HSE and ISO safety

Qualifications

• Nitec certificate or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of industrial experience.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, cutting, and steel fabrication.
• Maintain and repair plant mechanical systems (pumps, compressors, conveyors, valves, etc.).
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow company HSE, ISO and safety policies.
• Identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work practices.
• Participate in safety meetings and improvements.
• Carry out maintenance with safety as the priority.
• Support plant operations on a 24-hour basis.

Requirements:

• Able to trouble shoot
• Knowledge and able to overhaul plant equipment - Furnace steel conveyor belts, All type of rotating equipment, Welding and fabrication work.
