Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• Experience in a development team using CI/CD tools such as Git.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (ReactJS, AngularJS) for front-end.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask) or backend (FastAPI).
• Understanding of DevOps and automation of testing/deployment for containerized apps (Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of software architecture, system design, and distributed systems.
• Ability to make technical decisions balancing performance, maintainability, and business needs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using ReactJS with TypeScript for frontend and Python frameworks (e.g. Django/FastAPI) for backend
• Build and enhance modules for our data-intensive system with complex AI-powered workflows
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab
• Develop automated testing scripts and quality assurance frameworks
• Collaborate closely with team members and provide technical insights and feedback
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical architecture decisions

Essential requirements:

• At least 3 years of demonstrated experience with full-stack web application development
• Experience working in a development team and with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git)
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, AngularJS) to develop customised front-end components
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, etc.) or back-end frameworks (e.g. FastAPI) with preference for Django
• Understanding of DevOps principles and proficiency with automation of software testing and deployment processes for containerized applications using common DevOps tooling (e.g., Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of software architecture principles, system design, and building resilient distributed systems
• Experience making technical decisions that balance performance, maintainability, and business requirements

Preferred requirements

• Experience with developing application software components (e.g. front-end, back-end) of customized digital solutions that involve a substantial integration of AI and data analytics, including working in multi-disciplinary teams including data scientists and data engineers
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g: OpenTelemetry)
• Familiarity with applicable government ICT, security, and technology management policies and standards
