Job summary

Codex Solutions is seeking an experienced full-stack developer to build reactive web applications for desktop and cloud environments. You will collaborate with UX/UI designers and AI/Software engineers to deliver server-side components using Python and Node.js, while ensuring QA-tested, secure, and scalable code.

You will work in a cross-functional team, adopting Agile methods and modern DevOps practices. Candidates with Homeland Security domain knowledge or multi-site deployment experience are

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or related quantitative field.
• Experience in delivering large-scale projects with multi-site deployment (min. 3 years).
• Hands-on with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on with backend tech such as Python, Node, Express and SQL/NoSQL.
• Hands-on with test automation and CI/CD workflow.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with Agile SCRUM or Kanban.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Domain knowledge in Homeland Security is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Develop full stack, reactive web apps that can be delivered either on desktop or on Cloud (AWS, MS Azure or GCP).
• Work with UX/UI designers to develop responsive front end user interfaces using HTML, CSS, React.js or equivalent.
• Work with AI Engineers and Software Engineers to develop server-side applications using Python, Node.js or equivalent framework.
• Work with QA Engineers to write tests scripts for testing and ensure the quality of the developed applications.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise during development or in production.
• Document and communicate the full-stack design to different technical stakeholders.
• Follow the best practices of DevOps (CI/CD, automated test), Software Design and Secure Coding principles.
• Keep abreast with the emerging technologies, tools and trend related to full-stack development.
• Work closely with engagement and product managers to develop demos for end users.

Job Requirements

• Postgraduate / Tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or other quantitative / analytical fields.
• Experience in technology development with min. 3 years of experience in delivering large-scale projects with multi-sites deployment and proven track records.
• Hands-on experience with front end languages such as HTML5, CSS and JavaScript and frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Hands-on experience with back-end technologies / framework such as Python, Node, Express and SQL/NoSQL Database.
• Hands-on experience with test automation and CI/CD workflow.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with software development practices using Agile SCRUM or Kanban methodology.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and effective manner.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, team player, creative with excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Having domain knowledge in Homeland Security sector will be an added advantage.
• Applicants with more than 6 years of relevant experience will be considered for Lead position.
