Job summary

OCBC Group invites applications for a Software Engineer (UI) AVP to join our Singapore team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and testing wealth management front-end applications, driving UI excellence and user experience across platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable UI solutions, implement reusable components, and ensure robust integration with backend services in a regulated banking environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5–10 years of front-end development experience, preferably in banking/financial services.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and related UI tech; familiar with React testing libraries.
• Experience with RESTful API integration and asynchronous request handling.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible).
• Experience with Agile development and version control (Git).
• Nice-to-have: Micro Frontends (Qiankun), Material-UI, and microservices/backend tech (Java, Spring Boot).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software applications for UI in wealth management and private banking.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Implement reusable front-end components and scalable architecture.
• Ensure UI consistency, accessibility, and usability across platforms.
• Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues promptly.
