Job summary

OCBC Group in Singapore is seeking an AVP-level Software Engineer to design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS and Python. You will collaborate with business partners to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires at least 5 years in full-stack development, strong microservices and cloud-native experience, and familiarity with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Cassandra.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, ideally in banking/enterprise environments.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS and Python; strong front-end skills (HTML5, CSS3).
• Hands-on experience with microservices, cloud-native apps, relational and NoSQL databases, and CI/CD workflows.

What you do - Design, develop, and test software applications using various programming languages and technologies - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall code quality - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner Who you are - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field - At least 5 years of experience in full-stack software development, preferably within banking, financial services, or enterprise environments - Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Webflux and Python- Proficient in front-end technologies including ReactJS, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, MUI, Styled Components and JavaScript/TypeScript - Develop reactive and event-driven applications leveraging non-blocking architectures and asynchronous processing patterns - Create and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium / Playwright for UI/functional testing and Gatling for performance and load testing- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams# # # **What we offer:**Competitive base salary.
